How do I get make sure the machine is level?

The Setry has leg levellers on the rear feet. To adjust the level of the machine simply turn the plastic end caps as shown below until the Setry sits completely level on the floor. Making sure the machine is level will eliminate most unwelcome noises such as squeaks and knocks that it might make.
