If you are finding that belt seems to slip or stop for a very brief moment during your run then the belt requires a little tensioning. This is very quick and simple to do and is a part of the regular upkeep of the treadmill. Adjusting the belt on your treadmill when new, after a few months use or periodically may be necessary and is completely normal.
If the belt is slipping you should:
Make sure the treadmill is not in motion
-
Insert the Allen key into the left-hand rear adjustment bolt and turn the key clockwise 1/2 of a turn.
-
Insert the Allen key into the right-hand rear adjustment bolt (as per manual)and turn the key clockwise 1/2 of a turn.
-
Get on the treadmill and test it to see if the slipping has stopped.
Keep repeating steps 1-3 until the slipping stops
IMPORTANT: Do not turn the Allen keys more than 5 full turns. If the treadmill belt is still slipping after 5 full turns of the Allen key then please contact us by using the helpdesk form or emailing us at support@viavito.com to let us know. In this event, the drive belt will need adjusting. In the unlikely event that this is the case we will organise for an engineer to visit to adjust the drive belt and stop it slipping.
